Description:Providence is calling a Medical Staff Meeting Coordinator (Administrative Support, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.In this position you will:

Schedule monthly meeting of the Medical Staff and other related activities.

Work regularly with the leaders of the medical staff to include the Department Chairs and Elected leadership to review files, plan interviews and to resolve any other issues.

Establish agendas for meetings in cooperation with the Chair of the Departments and Committees.

Complete meeting minutes and follow through on all department and/or committee recommendations, correspondence, and channeling actions from one department/committee to another for appropriate follow-up.

Maintain a current roster of the Medical Staff and notify all in-house departments of any changes.

Be responsible for the financial transactions of the medical staff for the collection of application fees and annual staff dues, financial accounting, paying medical staff bills and keeping the Medical Staff Executive Committee informed of the status of all staff funds.

Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:

High School diploma

4 years progressive administrative or office management experience

Experience in word processing and the use of menu driven computer applications

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Additional course work in secretarial sciences

2 years related experience in medical office or health care facility
