We are looking for another cook and prep cook to help with our busy, remote North Slope camp kitchen operation.
The cook will over see kitchen operations for either night or day shift food service. The prep cook will work under the direct supervision of the cook/kitchen manager and/or lead swing cook. This position is a 4x2 rotational work schedule and standard work schedule is 12 hours per day, 7 days per week while on site. Pay depends on previous experience.
We work as a team and all members are expected to be professional, respectful, and mature. Leave your drama at home. Everyone does dishes and swings a mop. Please don't apply if you can't keep a clean station and clean up after the guests when meals are over.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Meal planning
-Food preparation and presentation
-Monitoring food inventory and quality control
-Dish washing and general cleaning
-Kitchen and dining area cleaning and sanitation
-Observe all safety standards and regulations
Qualifications Desired:
-Previous remote work / rotational schedule job experience
-Experience in a high-volume food production environment including line cooking and baked goods
-Ability to follow directions and work at times without direct supervision
-High School diploma or GED required, additional professional culinary training preferred
-Current ServSafe preferred
-Good communication skills - ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
-Ability to get along well with co-workers and adherence to high standards of customer service
