Position Summary: The dental assistant is the extended hand of the dentist and a vital member of the dental health professional team. Job duties include setting up the operatory for each patient, greeting and seating patients, preparing the patient for the dental exam or treatment, making accurate chart notes in Dentrix, performing x-rays, assisting the dentist in all dental procedures, and educating patients in dental hygiene, post-operative care, and fillings, etc.Work Experience: Experience preferred, but not required. Willing to train the right, motivated individual. Seeking a team member who learns quickly, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in their work. Ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has good time management skills. Graduation from an accredited school in dental assisting or one-year experience as a dental assistant preferred. Experience with dental front desk and dental software preferred. Working knowledge of computer required.Education, Certification and Licensure: Graduation from high school or equivalent, preferred.
