Biller/Receptionist
Experienced insurance biller needed to help patients at clinic check-out desk.
Southside Eyecare & Optical seeks full-time employee to calculate patients' bills
and receive their payments for services and optical goods.
It is necessary to understand medical insurance to be good at this position.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet patients and collect their information
2. Answer phone, take messages and schedule appointments
3. Verify insurance benefits
4. Become familiar with billing codes for eye services
5. Check patients out and collect fees
6. Various clerical duties
Qualifications:
1. Two years of experience in this field
2. Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
3. Familiarity with Medicare benefits.
4. Good attendance
5. Must present a friendly, out-going attitude
6. Good, clear, friendly telephone voice
7. High school diploma or GED
