We are searching for an experienced Communications Intern at our Palmer HQ facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
SUMMARY OF POSITION'S ROLE
The purpose of this position is to perform duties in support of Corporate Communications and The MTA Foundation. Intern will work in close collaboration with both corporate communications and marketing staff members to assist with various tasks and projects.
SPECIFIC TASK DESCRIPTION
Assist with corporate communications system, MTA Connect, to include creating, approving and removing posts.
Assist with communication plans to include crafting e-mails and researching facility items.
Participate in generating ideas for employee events and team building.
Assist with employee research projects using software tools such as Survey Monkey.
Support work related to The MTA Foundation such as managing donation and scholarship processes and supporting the donation and scholarship committees.
Assist with MTA Foundation communication, documents and drives.
Assist with event coordination to include set-up and breakdown of events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must currently be enrolled in a college degree-seeking program. GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
Must have the ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language.
Basic computer knowledge required. Computer skills in MS Office preferred.
Ability to demonstrate good communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
Previous related internship/work experience preferred.
