Responsibilities:
Continually identify and determine optimum sources of supply
Manage inventory of assigned categories
Assist with ordering products necessary for production
Track orders through supply chain flow
Minimize shrinkage/spoilage of perishable commodities
Manage the lines to ensure maximum efficiency
Run daily allocation reports
Monitor trending analysis and report to Processing Manager
Maintain label process protocols
Assist the Food Safety Manager with recalls and other product quality issues
Support established logistical procedures to facilitate product arrival
Communicate effectively to the Processing Manager and other department supervisors
Monitor and report items, categories and business trends within assigned categories
Maintain awareness of market trends, technology and food safety
Physical requirements: Daily walks through warehouse to check product inventory & quality
Oversees processes within the production rooms
Assist with training of new personnel
Regularly coordinates with the Processing Manager to conduct yield studies and cost analysis
Manages processing staff’s day to day scheduling, Overtime and coverage
Responsible for Quality and Food Safety
Qualifications:
Proven problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Skilled in time management and capable of meeting work schedule deadlines with accuracy
Able to work independently but prioritize well
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work with diverse groups of people while communicating effectively
Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office; emphasis on Excel, Word
Knowledge of HACCP and general food safety knowledge an asset
