Provide landscaping and carpentry maintenance on an active, inclusive church campus. This position requires a candidate who, at times, may be working outside in rainy weather. Looking for someone who doesn't mind wearing their wet weather gear and getting the job done.
Duties:
Complete carpentry projects as needed.
Mow, fertilize, and rake lawns.
Water lawns, gardens, and plants.
Weed and care for garden beds.
Plant trees, flowers, etc. as directed.
Sweep walkways and parking lot areas as needed.
Pick up gardening supplies and run errands related to project at hand.
Other duties as assigned.
Must have the ability to:
Complete carpentry work as needed.
Start and operate a hand mower without assistance.
Lift 35 lbs safely (a must).
Traverse uneven surfaces safely.
Use basic hand and power tools.
Take directions from supervisor and initiate projects as needed.
Work as part of a team as well as independently.
Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Interact with the public appropriately.
Landscaping and carpentry experience is required.
Must have own vehicle (for picking up garden supplies etc.).
Must be able to pass a background screening.
Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, as arranged.
Pay: $15 an hour.
Estimated hours per week: 20-25.
Seasonal: April - October.
Start Date: Immediately.
