SUMMARY

The Systems Manager works with the CFO to develop and execute on the strategic operating goals and objectives of the company in a quality assured environment as it manages and integrates the various IT systems of the company. The position prioritizes information and service level requirements; they work with management team to establish corporate standards for hardware and software to ensure quality, functionality, connectivity, and compatibility to conduct its enterprise operations.

The position is responsible to develop, implement, and maintain all hardware and application systems, build its centralized data warehouse, and establish and maintain standards for the company Information Systems. The position is the lead project manager for cross-functional integrations and works to exceed service level agreements for all users. The positon position ensures the company delivers and receives the highest value for its spend while exceeding stated return on investment and return on asset parameters. It is the authority to protect the data integrity, system security, reliability, and electronic reputation of the company. This manages and coordinates technology hardware selections and services with the cooperation of the relevant teams and systems of record.

They perform their work with considerable independence and judgment within their approved budget and are subject to regular reviews against key performance indicators under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Identify, plan, structure, and execute a comprehensive IT strategy to manage the quote to cash collection and reporting processes to develop processes that differentiates Vitus Energy to its customers.

2. Leverage/track ROI/ROA on all approved IT initiatives, work-flow automation, imaging, and remote tracking.

3. Participate in/lead vendor management efforts and contract negotiations for IS services and products.

4. Provide quality assured data to the organization on a real time basis.

5. Ensure the company enjoys uninterrupted data processing and communication services;

6. Coordinates and/or acts as the subject matter expert and Trusted Advisor for all business units, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

7. Make recommendations for improvement to exceed agreed standards, policies and procedures for company management.

8. Coordinate and control communication vendors to achieve company objectives.

9. Research management information system hardware and software including applicable vendor applications, data base management, operational control packages, and emerging technologies; coordinate RFI, RFP and the decisioning process to maintain corporate standards.

10. Approve capitalized system developments and/or research projects and keep within budget; coordinate the project review, vetting, and decisioning process between initiative owner-sponsors and the IT project steering committee.

11. Work with management team to develop and maintain training programs for all employees, the enterprise systems and the company productivity software solutions.

12. Make policy recommendations to ensure privacy, acceptable use, and security of data processing facilities; establish guidelines and programs for effective database management utilization.

13. Evaluate and develop new products/services to differentiate the company and help us reduce costs, improve productivity and drive revenue.

14. Develop and keep within annual capital and operating expense budgets.

15. Other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1. A combination of the completion of a Bachelors Degree in MIS, Programming, Finance, Accounting, or Management and five to eight years of direct experience managing complex information technology projects as a senior project manager in a small to medium business with over 100 people. An advanced MIS certification/designation is preferred but not required.

2. Expert knowledge in the information technology field helping manage complex systems, servers, integrations, with ERP experience preferred.

3. Expert level knowledge and advanced certificates working with servers

4. Expert level experience in SQL or other programming languages

5. Experience working in fuel distribution or trucking industry with multiple service terminals preferred

6. Work requires professional executive-level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

7. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare complex financial budgets, models, and reporting systems.

8. Position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and meet regulatory deadlines.

9. Demonstrated use of principles, applications, and techniques of electronic data processing systems; computer systems design, programming, and operations; computer hardware and software systems planning and technical support functions.

10. Ability to organize, manage, and control complex computer equipment and data processing facilities; principles and practices of business administration, personnel management, performance management, and scope out and identify quality assured operating results.

Minimum Requirements:

Demonstrated passion for the profession and an entrepreneurial zeal.

Impeccable character, integrity, and unfailing initiative in a team environment.

BA/BS Degree in MIS, Programming, Accounting, Finance, Management or a related major.

Advanced certification or MIS designation preferred.

5+ years of experience in a senior information technology role in a mid-sized company.

Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office and Crystal Reports.

Advanced communication and demonstration skills using verbal and written means with proper sentence construction, punctuation, and grammar.

Experience in an ERP environment preferred but not required.

Demonstrated ability to plan for and use highly technical staff resources.

Work cooperatively with others with a history of developing and measuring program results.

Make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions.

Establish objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve these objectives.

Provide technical and policy leadership and direction.
