JOB SUMMARY:

The Tire Service Technician is responsible for all repairs and replacements of all types of construction related equipment tires. The Tire Service Technician may be required to work after normal working hours (6:00am-6:00pm) for after hour call outs. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to follow direction from the shop Foreman and Operations Manager. This is a fast-passed working environment with constantly changing work priorities. Staying focused and complete task correctly with minimal supervision is required. The Tire Service Technician will work in the field and shop.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Repair and replacement of all types of construction related equipment tires, ranging from light truck tires through loader tires.

Work in extreme weather conditions when out on field service calls.

Communicate professionally directly with customers and account for all activity through work orders.

Work safely and efficiently independently with minimal supervision.

Communicate well over the phone or radio directly with customers and supervisor.

Commitment to work place safety, and customer service a must.

Complete work orders and inventory of tires and materials used during the service called.

Maintain good housekeeping.

Assis in other areas in the shop as needed.

Handling scrap (or take-off-tires) placing them in the designated area.

Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Perform other duties as directed.

No supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge in all aspects of tire service repairs and replacements of all type of construction related equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Current NSTC required.

CDL preferred.

Experience in all aspects of construction equipment related tire service.

At least five (5) years previous experience as a tire service technician; equipment maintenance/repair experience is a plus.

Two (2) years previous Prudhoe Bay/North Slope experience preferred.

Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company’s Driving Policy

Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screening.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is performed outside in harsh weather environment and may be required to work after normal working hours. The position requires the ability to work a rotating schedule on the North Slope.
