We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Infrastructure Services (IS). Why should you join the PMO? As a Project Coordinator, you will be working on exciting infrastructure driven projects for Fortune 500 customers across all verticals. Our global infrastructure planning and deployment services deliver thousands of projects each year. From employing our methodologies at hundreds of sites to leveraging complete enterprise design services, customers trust our infrastructure experts to assess the technology they have today and design the solutions they need for tomorrow. Central or Eastern Time Zone preferred Responsibilities:
  • Tracking and understanding documentation deliverables for multiple small projects
  • Gather documentation from the customer
  • Assist with or manage the oversight of all aspects of project life cycle to include initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing; taking project through final implementation
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Excel
  • General understanding of project scope, and objectives.
  • Basic understanding of project team roles and functions to effectively assist in coordinating activities/tasks
  • Follow best practices and ensure that requirements are met and documented
  • Document project risks, assumptions, and constraints and aid in implementing approved actions and workarounds designed to mitigate project risk events
  • Monitor status of all identified risks in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project
  • Financial management of project budgets to ensure all budgets, forecasts and costs are measured, tracked and reported for project success
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to identify and quantify variances
  • Document measurement criteria for success with the help of Project Managers or other Leads
  • Assist in managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Ensure that all issues are captured, resolved and that resolutions are documented and communicated
  • Actively participate and/or lead project meetings, and follow up on action items.
  • Provide input regularly for status reports including program portfolio reviews
  • Assume responsibility and coordination for a wide variety of project and/or program related tasks
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of Project Coordination/Project Management experience required
  • Federal Project Management experience preferred
  • Exposure to technology projects and project management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Skills in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • MS Project experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of financial processes; ability to understand, analyze and create financial reports
  • Understanding of project management industry standard framework and the development life cycle
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track project timelines
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate well with customers and co-workers (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Strong team building skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
