DevOps: Linux System Administration skills and similar related including the following:
- Experience and understanding for all routine linux administration including: network configuration, logical volume management, cron and at scheduling, firewalld configuration, managing and updating system software.
- Administration and configuration of Apache Httpd and similar web servers
- Understanding of Kerberos and LDAP authentication authorization as well as other PAM based authentication.
- Understanding of active directory environment is beneficial including user, group, and gpo management.
- Experience in supporting a java environment
- Administration and configuration of tomcat application server
- Experience with SAML (shibboleth) based service provider configurations
- Version control experience with git, github, gitlabs, or similar version control systems.
- Experience automating host builds and configuration, either through configuration management tools like chef, puppet, ansible, and salt or through other similar mechanisms.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools. Use and configuration of a Jenkins, TravisCI, or AppVeyor.
- Experience working with network load balancers and understanding of concepts and possible configuration.
- TLS certificate management
- Knowledge about VMWare VCenter and practice use of as an end user.
- Knowledge and experience with an orchestrator like terraform, cloud formation, or similar to do infrastructure as code in some places.
- Knowledge about Amazon Web Services (AWS): EC2, ELB, EBS, and S3
- Experience programming in python, ruby or C is desirable.
- Experience in building compiling and managing code.
- Experience supporting a current Ellucian Banner suite of products.
