Full time position for a person with or seeking a Masters degree in counseling. Must be willing to pursue Substance Abuse Counseling credential if you do not have it already. Clients in this Medication assisted treatment program have been in this outpatient program for an average of 3 years. Counselors have the opportunity to help them achieve real life change. Experience is helpful, but more important is commitment to excellence, curiosity, willingness to accept feedback, learn and be part of a clinical team that supports and challenges each other. Professional ethics and boundaries are required. We will assist with continuing education and in arranging professional supervision toward licensure.
Pay If you are in this for the money or status, this position is not for you. IAA is a non-profit funded with public money and donations, which we are committed to using wisely. That being said, pay is competitive and somewhat negotiable. Benefits include a supportive work environment that respects family, health insurance, vacation and sick leave. Professional Development is necessary and supported. Counselors are encouraged, with time and supervision, to present at conferences, publish and teach.
