Seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for JL Properties located in Fairbanks, AK for one of our six property locations. Maintenance technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining apartment buildings, building systems and premises. The Maintenance technician must keep the buildings and premises safe and in good condition for employees, residents, contractors and guests.
Applicant must have relevant maintenance experience. Basic household experience is preferred in two of the following trades; electrical, plumbing, flooring, appliances, carpentry (doors & windows), drywall, painting, and HVAC systems. We are willing to train the right dependable candidate that has a positive attitude with the aptitude to learn quickly, and the ability to trouble shoot. Applicant needs to have the ability to work individually or in a team environment to meet deadlines. Technician's must be able to provide their own hand tools and to work overtime and weekends as needed.
The position will be responsible for assisting in enforcing safety regulations; identifying, reporting and correcting safety hazards. Applicant must own a reliable and insured vehicle, have valid ADL, and be able to pass a criminal background check. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Maintenance Technicians who are motivated to learn will have the ability to grow within the company, allowing them opportunity to broaden their skillset to work emergency on call shifts, and overtime shifts.
