11th ABN DIV (ARCTIC) provides individual, crew, and collective training using a variety of digital tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to provide individual training at the soldier level as well as the planning and execution of simulated combat exercise scenarios to support crew and collective training up to the Division level. These simulated training exercises are supported by the facilities digital and communications architecture to provide realistic and challenging scenarios ranging from Stability Operations to Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).
HOW THE CBT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Integrate the Gaming and Virtual training environments and MTC fielded systems and capacity providing relevant formation centric training support for Soldier, Crew and Small Unit formations (platoon, section, squad, convoy, and patrol) Provide gaming-based small event training that is doctrinally current, and operationally relevant to the user. Gaming and Virtual Training are run using the Army's Games for Training program, VBS3 and any potential follow on for Games for Training and related products. Training is focused at the crew through company level of operations although gaming may be the tool occasionally appropriate for larger collective events. LVCG training executed within the confines of the Integrated Training Environment (ITE) provide training units a valuable means by which to assess training proficiency.- Coordinates logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes, reserving classrooms, and preparing workstations.
- Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
- Will participate in the development and establishment of course content and objectives.
- Updates course documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced instructors.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Desirable Skills/Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support. Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software. Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills.
- Education Required: AA and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications Required: CompTIA A+ or Network +
- Security Clearance: Secret
