Last Frontier Cabinets, Countertops, and Millwork, a family owned custom and commercial cabinet shop in Juneau, Alaska has immediate openings for people with woodworking assembly experience. We continue to increase business through more customers and have openings from intermediate to skilled. Whether your experience is with making cabinets, doors, fixturing, boats, or furniturewe'd love to hear from you. These jobs are Day Shift schedule, located locally in Juneau. We use state of the art tools and technology to create custom wood cabinets.
Duties include:
Cabinet door assembly
Cabinet Box and Drawer assembly
Cutting component pieces
Sanding & Finishing
Using hand tools
Using Power Tools
The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of cabinet construction and wood handling. The ability to read drawings is a must. We need highly self motivated people who like variety, take ownership in their work, and like working in a team environment.
Requirements:
-2+ years of experience of wood manufacturing (furniture and or custom cabinetry preferred)
-Experience with various wood species and the ability to work with different types of Machines, belt sanders, joiners, table saws, routers, etc.
-Ability to work independently
-Attendance. Must have great attendance and be on time everyday.
-Desire to learn, effort, execution, and teamwork are a must.
-Must have a drivers license and transportation.
-Must have appropriate footwear and work clothes.
-You will be consistently standing 8 hours and lifting 50+ lbs
Solid surface countertop fabrication would be a huge asset.
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Day: 9:00am-5:00pm
Benefits: BiWeekly Pay, Steady Hours
Compensation: $15-$20+/hour DOE
Location: Lemon Creek Area, Juneau AK, reliable vehicle required
