Job Summary:
This is an entry level position that works in a variety of crafts and disciplines. This position assists the journeyman level supervisor in the set-up take-down and performance of simple and complex job tasks.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
This is an entry level position that is directly supervised. In some disciplines (electrical, welding) this can be the entry level position that leads into entry in a formal apprentice program which may lead to the journeyman level upon completion of the program requirements.
Responsible for the use and care of tools and equipment commonly employed on industrial construction sites. This can vary according to the craft and the discipline.
Responsible for assisting the journeyman in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and construction of industrial equipment and systems found in an industrial or commercial environment.
Complies with all safety policies and the applicable safety handbooks, leads and educates fellow employees in safe work ethics, practices and behaviors.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Must possess simple writing and mathematical skills.
Must be able to communicate in an effective manner to present information to fellow employees.
Certifications:
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification and valid drivers license required.
TWIC preferred.
