Uncle Herb's Homer is recruiting for part-time Customer Service (budtenders) and part-time Production personnel to join our Team. Budtenders are responsible for representing Uncle Herb's on the retail level and are the face of our brand. The Budtender is the primary employee that interacts with and leaves the largest impression on our patrons. It is the shared goal to lead our patrons to fully enjoy their experience, gain knowledge on our product and other cannabis products, and ultimately return to our establishments in the future.
Uncle Herb's is a recreational cannabis store specializing. We enjoy unique individuals, with dynamic personalities who have a strong work ethic. A strong team player mentality is required.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old to work in the Alaska Marijuana industry.
Must possess a Marijuana Handlers Card and MOA Food Service Card and/or be willing to obtain one prior to employment (please demonstrate upon submittal that you meet these qualifications).
Must be available to work 20+ hours per week, with open availability, including weekends and holidays.
Must be friendly and outgoing, with an approachable demeanor.
Must be both punctual and reliable.
Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with co-workers and a diverse customer base while exceeding customer expectations.
Must be a quick learner, able to follow directions, and require minimal supervision.
Must be able to handle the cash register and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge and cultural experience of the recreational cannabis scene is a plus but not a requirement.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Job Duties:
Maintain a working knowledge of the State of Alaska Marijuana Regulations and Municipality of Anchorage Laws governing the Marijuana Industry.
Know, understand, and execute proper cash handling and safe procedures.
Adhere to business policies and workplace practices.
Inform and educate customers on the products in our store.
Setup retail displays & scales.
Operate POS systems.
Identification verification.
Assist with daily inventory audit procedures.
Make daily decisions to ensure product quality, store cleanliness, and other Company standards are met.
Serve customers with a smile.
