OT Administrator

This position is part of a small team responsible for providing technical and operational support for Windows OS servers & Local Area Network. Duties include coordination and/or implementation of hardware and software; ensuring corporate standards are applied; upgrades, problem tracking, management and resolution. Provide analysis and management of the refinery site's Window's server systems, network topology and personal computer integration. Will provide support for refinery Process Control (DCS/OT) LAN and their 24/7 systems. Formulates recommendations and performs testing, change control, installation, integration, diagnostic analysis and return to service of the local area network, peripheral computer equipment and personal computers. Develops and coordinates system and procedural documentation of the refinery site logical and physical infrastructure. Position requires demonstrated initiative, broad knowledge of various systems, professionalism and excellent customer service/interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements:

1. Provide support for DCS/OT proprietary systems. 2. Coordinate and/or implement changes to Refining server and network infrastructure. This would include the configuration of Firewall's, switches and sometimes older technologies that exist within the refinery. 3. Communicate status of projects with clients and various levels of management. 4. Develop and maintain skills necessary for responsibilities. 5. Administer refinery Process Control (DCS) LAN Networks and Servers. Support of these 24/7 Systems require applicant to be on-call should problems arise. Ensure backups and changes to systems are performed according to company directives. 6. Perform administration and trouble-shooting of Windows servers, the local area network (LAN), and its components. Includes activities such as daily server backups, anti-virus protection, performance tuning, security changes, and more. 7. Maintain appropriate controls, documentation, and business recovery plans for the refinery site local area network and other computer systems. Maintain other technical specifications to insure compliance with corporate and refining standards and procedures 8. Analyze user and management requirements in recommending appropriate business solutions. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with all levels of refining employees to define requirements and communicate recommendations. Maintain dialogue with IT Services and other LAN Administrators to facilitate problem resolution and information sharing on system management techniques. 9. Participate on Refining IT teams for implementing Refining-wide strategic IT initiatives. Analyze, test, modify, and implement programs or systems, including in-house developed or purchased applications. 10. Ensure that infrastructure communications remain functional within the refinery's domain. Maintain documentation of the cable maps throughout the plant. 11. Perform special projects and other duties as requested by immediate supervisor. 12. Coordinate and/or implement corporate security directives that pertain to the DCS LAN. A firm understanding of complex security principles is required.
