Need trustworthy person with handyman skills who likes to fish to help maintain and manage a fishing lodge full time. Requires many flexible hours. Must live-in. Must love dogs. Must take care of lodge dogs. Summer time, must be flexible with sleeping arrangements to move out to motorhome when guests take over lodge (not usually much more than a few weeks). Need commitment to being comfortable with 24/7 surveillance/security on property. Work would include maintenance of property, security of property, carpentry jobs (odds and ends), helping clients check-in, helping prepping fishing rods for guest, processing fish, carrying luggage to rooms, maintaining riverbank cleanliness and fire pit duties, possibly driving to and from Anchorage to errands with company truck, and help with manage bookings which entails calling local excursion companies to book guests some fun Alaskan adventures. Owner would be working full time with employee. It is a management/maintenance position with many hats but most busy time is summer (July) when Id need 100% of your time, but job leaves winters very flexible. One requirement is making sure the lodge is watched every single night without fail. If you have to leave overnight, I need someone to cover for you watching the lodge and lodge dog/s.
