A well-established distributor is looking for a self-starter to join our Soldotna operations team. This person will assist in all aspects of delivery, receiving, customer service and order selecting as well as other duties related to processing customer orders. This is a full time - position open immediately. Our company provides a great work environment. Our operations team is very close, and extremely efficient. Experience is desired, but attitude and the ability to work closely with the team is essential.
Direct reporting to: Soldotna Area Manager
This position is classified as: Hourly, Non-Exempt; Full-Time
Typical Schedule: 4am to 2 pm (or until duties completed) Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat (4 x 10-hour days)
Objectives
To assist the operations team in running an efficient Direct Store Delivery DSD operations in order to process, deliver, store, and ship products accurately and safely while exuding excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Fulfills receiving schedule requirements required for 100% customer satisfaction.
Receiving and replenish inbound stock accurately and timely.
Ensure truck is safe for daily operation
Maintain a daily delivery route by company standards.
Follow company procedures delivery and check in of product.
Delivers and merchandises product lines to customer satisfaction.
Maintaining an accurate on-hand inventory in the distribution center through cycle counts, physical inventories, and adjustments in the computer program.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
This position requires lifting cases weighing from 20-60 pounds repeatedly throughout the work day; as well as loading, pushing and pulling heavy product. Bending, kneeling, reaching and squatting throughout the shift while loading and moving products. Fast paced warehouse environment.
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 23-years of age
Must be punctual
Valid driver’s license
High School Diploma or equivalent
Own reliable transportation is a must
1 – 2 years working knowledge of delivery / warehouse flow
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, and be open to constant change
Effective written and oral communication skills; demonstrated excellent organizational skills
Dexterity and the ability to assemble products quickly and accurately
