Driller Foreman - Red Dog Mine, AK - RotationalDescriptionSummaryThe Driller Foreman is responsible for leading various tasks including maintaining and operating the drilling rigs, supervise drill crews and projects. The Driller Foreman is the main point of contact for site project operations, employee supervision, and reporting.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee remote site project operations and ensure projects are completed in adherence to company safety protocol.

Maintain inventory of all company vehicles, tools, and other project related equipment.

Operate rotary, churn, and pneumatic drills to bore into surface and subsurface land.

Calibrate machine and select drill according to job.

Start and stop drilling motion.

Position machine, augers, and pipes.

Operate tracked or truck-mounted rotary drilling, air-track, or other drilling machines.

Read instructions and diagrams.

Operate tracked or truck-mounted drill equipped with auger or other attachment to drill holes for building foundations or pilings.

Remove core samples during mineral exploration or soil testing.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of ten (10) years industry specific Foreman experience required.

MSHA Certification required.

MSHA Trainer Certification (Blue Card)

Experience transporting drills with helicopters.

Ability to work in remote areas under difficult conditions.

Ability to take and pass a pre-employment UA drug test required.

Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
