Position:Application ArchitectJob Description:
This Application Architect will drive Solution design and delivery across various business applications such as Oracle R12. The ideal candidate will be savvy in technology and business knowledge. The candidate will work with various IT teams and business stakeholders in understanding business requirements, evaluating options, recommending solutions and drive delivery of the envisaged solution. The candidate will also review existing processes and recommend or suggest modernization and automation opportunities that can be implemented to provide business value.Remote work employees may be required to be present at the closest designated Arrow office for work-related purposes, at the company's request and sole discretion.What You'll Be Doing: Contribute to the definition of conceptual and logical architecture specifications (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture) for the enterprise. Interact with business strategists and comprehend design impact to systems and develop measurable business cases that support the Architecture. Serve as an architecture conduit for external requests and queries, and provide education on enterprise architecture directions and goals. Manage organizational impacts of architecture. Work with other architects on enterprise architectural efforts, utilizing cross-functional knowledge (strategy, change management and business process management). Analyze IT industry and market trends and determine potential impact upon enterprise as well as, identify and analyze enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical, and solution architecture requirements. Implement overall architecture approach for all layers of a solution. Ensure that enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures are enacted uniformly across application development projects and programs.What You'll Need:- Develop and present multiple solutions/approaches to solve enterprise architecture issues.
- Triage application performance, scalability and security issues and enhance application architecture to mitigate these issues.
- Responsible for enterprise technical architecture including application, security, information and infrastructure platforms and standards.
- Coordinate with various lines of business, supporting staff and technology areas to evaluate and select technologies and platforms, define enterprise guiding principles, review delivered architectures, and act as architect for large programs
- Deliver software development, data management, security, systems and networking responsibilities at a quick pace and providing guidance to other developers to help them overcome obstacles that are preventing their development efforts
