We want people to join us and companies to partner with us who are passionate about our purpose and committed to revolutionizing digital content.Job SummaryWe’re looking for a Director, Executive Communications to amplify Siteimprove’s vision and mission, through the voice of our CEO, Shane Paladin. You will lead all aspects of communications for the CEO – create consistent and uniform internal messages to employees, develop external content and thought leadership across a variety of topics, and align closely with the organization to ensure message cohesion.On a typical day, you might post on LinkedIn about the CEO’s recent office visit, put the finishing touches on his keynote speech, or prep him for a media interview. This is a new and exciting position for a strong writer who enjoys collaborating directly with senior executives.What You Will Be DoingMaster the communication voice, tone, and style of the CEO for a wide variety of stakeholder audiences and settings, both internal and external
Co-develop a personal narrative that can be deployed in various channels and communication opportunities
Establish a consistent communication strategy and message map, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders and others on the executive team
Formalize content strategy and syndication of messages across channels
Write speeches and talking points for external events and public engagements
Draft concise and thorough briefing materials to prepare the CEO for engagements, video shoots, etc
Create a streamlined and regular cadence of engaging content across the CEO’s social media handles (LinkedIn and Twitter)
Required Experience5+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role
Excellent writing and editing skills
A talented storyteller and writer who can emulate the voice and perspective of others
You find ideas from everywhere, consistently bring innovation and creativity to your communications
Strong understanding of business transformation and business strategy
Experience in developing thought leadership content (for example, on LinkedIn)
You see yourself as a storyteller, creating posts that connect emotionally and make people stop their scrolling
You thrive in ambiguous situations and love to build things from scratch
Look for new ways to create content and enjoy experimenting
Enjoy connecting dots in how corporate strategy can be “translated” to normal speak
