Operations Analyst

Job Description

• Performs in-depth analysis of reconciliations, deciphering complex exceptions between systems for assigned accounts.
• Assigned to complex accounts.
• Performs root-cause analysis on why exceptions exist and lead the effort in resolving them.
• The Operations Analyst will analyze trends, enters exception data, and ensures proper aging.
• The Operations Analyst will communicate complex break reports to either internal groups within the firm or correspondents outside the firm.

• Responsible for completing the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks including month-end certification.
• Assists in analyzing operational needs and provides input for project requests to solve the identified need.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement them to create efficiencies.
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels bank-wide.
• Participate in the Audit process and interact with internal and external auditors.

• Minimum 5 yrs. of reconciling experience in a financial institution including Month-end activities.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience in Deposit or Loan products/Operations.
• Experience with large ERP - e.g. PSGL, Oracle, SAP, etc.
• Blackline reconciliation application experience is a plus.
• Accounting knowledge including recording journal entries and understanding of financial impacts.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Communicates with poise and professionalism through verbal and written communication. Executes tasks efficiently and quickly with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize deliverables and assignments
