  • The Operational Cybersecurity Risk Analyst plays a vital role in conducting deep-dive analysis of Operational Cyber Risk and reports to the Global Security Office (GSO).
  • This role will work closely with several key stakeholders across the bank and assist in increasing our overall risk posture and Cyber maturity.
  • An ideal candidate will have the business acumen to support the management & oversight of Cyber Security-related Operational Risks and their associated metrics & reporting.
  • This individual is also responsible for ensuring the protection by providing timely escalation of issues, and by assisting with routine collaborations with stakeholders.
  • The analyst will also assist in the ongoing development and documentation of streamlined Operational Risk Reporting processes, and in ensuring that stakeholders are held accountable for Cyber Risks within their respective functional areas.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Operational Cybersecurity Risk Analyst partners with stakeholders in both Cyber Security and other groups across the organization, including but not limited to - Identity Access Management, Change Management, Vulnerability Management, Security and Awareness, and Application Security teams.
  • Conduct recurring meetings to build relationships, collaborate with the stakeholder teams, and help understand their Cyber-related Operational processes.
  • Gather operational performance metrics and reports, analyze data, thoroughly document identified Operational Cyber Risks, escalate issues on time, and provide routine reports to Senior Management.
  • Independently investigate, evaluate, and escalate issues that have not been addressed in accordance with the defined Security Policies & Standards.
  • Assist with the creation and adoption of Cyber Risk Governance and Oversight processes.
  • Provide continuous oversight, analysis, and triage of the issues until adequately remediated.
  • Aid in the implementation and execution of oversight processes and procedures for Operational Cyber Risks persisting across the organization.
  • Ability to develop program scripts to support data analytics and skilled to produce dashboard reports.
  • Report and escalate exceptions and facilitate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Perform ad-hoc research on industry-standard practices around risk identification, mitigation as well as preventive, corrective, and detective measures.
  • Be an active team player in contributing to the betterment and improvement of Cyber Security practices.
  • Collaborate with team members across separate geographic locations, and be a flexible sport with an ability to enhance the great team culture that we take immense pride in.
  • Routinely evaluate the industry, market, and regulatory environment to anticipate changes to ensure appropriate alignment of the Cyber Security environment.

Requirements/Technical Skills/Soft Skills:
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and all applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate a consistent history of delivering on time commitments.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to both business and technology audiences.
  • Aptitude to understand and adapt to newer technologies.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Audit, Security, MIS, CS, or any other technology-related field or equivalent education; and 3-7 years of cybersecurity and technology experience.
  • Previous client-facing experience and Project management skills.
  • Previous experience in at least one of the data analytics, reporting and visualization tools such as - SSMS/ SSRS/SSAS combined with Visual Studio; Or PowerBI combined with Power Automate; And, Python, Tableau, or any other required.
  • Previous experience with PowerPivot and at least two of MS Visio, Powerpoint, Visual Basic, or MS Project preferred.
  • Clear ability to express complex multidisciplinary technical and business concepts in terms that are understandable to all levels of Lines of Business and Corporate Management both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of SOX, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, FFIEC, CRI, COBIT, COSO, or other regulatory compliance standards and/or frameworks.
  • Previous experience in Governance, Risk Compliance, and/or Audit.
  • Previous experience with metrics analysis and definition.
  • Previous experience with executive-level reporting. Certifications Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) - Preferred.
  • Travel 10% of the time is anticipated Physical and other Performance Demands
  • The employee must have the ability to use a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, copier/fax machine, scanner, and telephone.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: reviewing and analyzing information; transcribing; and/or viewing a computer screen.
  • Employees may be required to make quick decisions as to when to escalate or directly address a situation, as well as handle the stress of such situations.
  • The work environment is indoors with a majority of time spent sitting at a desk.
