- Performing technical support functions on Enterprise Production environments including hardware and network equipment in the Data Center (40%)
- Assist in remote technical trouble shooting and support of Client Production Systems (20%)
- Installation of hardware systems and cable runs/installations (20%)
- Management of Data Center access for the maintenance (both hardware and software) by internal support technicians and outside contractors (20%)
- Vocational / Technical / Business school (6-8 months-specialized training)
- Data Center Services Certifications – Preferred
- A+ Certification – Preferred
- Network+ Certification – Preferred
- 2-3 Years Data Center Experience
- Experience with Enterprise level Technical Operations
- Development of Documentation that is clear and concise
- Experience with data center cabling, racking, & terminology
- Project management skills and experience in organizing, planning, and executing information systems projects.
- Teamwork, time management and negotiating skills
- Working knowledge of hardware and software platforms, vendors, and products.
- Analytical skills and ability to solve technical problems
- This job requires a person to work in a noisy working area within a Data Center environment.
- This job requires a person to work 2nd Shift 3pm to Midnight the Data Center is staffed 24 hours a day / 7 Days a Week.
- This job requires a person to work Holidays.
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Lift heavy computer equipment
- Physically move servers and racks in the Data Center.
- Climb ladders, step ladders, step stools, and bending.
