Historic Hotel Monte Vista is expanding & seeking a full time Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager that will oversee the kitchen of its Pan-Asian restaurant Lotus Lounge as well as work directly w/ hotel manager on development, execution, & eventual management of our new restaurant concept set to open next year. This is a great culinary opportunity for someone who wants to join the successful and ever-growing Hotel Monte Vista in beautiful Flagstaff, AZ.
Candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
Experience w/ menu development & execution; working knowledge of culinary techniques
Must be highly organized and have solid leadership skills, able to hire, train, schedule, develop and motivate a staff of diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
Good communication skills & the ability to think on your feet & adapt.
Experience in purchasing, inventory and menu planning (Asian food experience preferred but not necessary)
Able to upkeep standards, perceptions of value, and maintain quality w/ consistency.
6-8 years minimum high volume kitchen experience; 5 years minimum sous and/or executive experience
Possess or immediately retrieve a Coconino County Manager Food Certificate and be able to train staff to work within county guidelines.
