We are hiring a prep chef at Eat n' Run cafe. Benefits of working for us are pay + tips, free shift meal, small family owned business, all Sundays off, daytime shifts only. We are a deli style kitchen so no deep fryers or large flat tops, we are a much cleaner kitchen than most. Tasks will involve prepping for large wholesale and catering sandwich and salad orders, and following recipes to create soups, salad dressings, smoothie packs and possibly bakery doughs.
Basic Skills Required:
- Reading and basic mathematics skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Reliable track record
- Be willing to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines (must have or be willing to acquire a food handlers license
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Have good physical endurance and stamina
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
Preferred but not Required:
- Experience in food and beverage industry
- Be occasionally willing to stay longer hours for bigger last minute orders
