Labor Systems is now hiring Journeyman Concrete Finishers and Journeyman Carpenters.
Concrete Finishers will be responsible for smoothing out, leveling and finishing freshly poured concrete at construction sites.
Journeyman Carpenters will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials.
Job duties for Journeyman Concrete Finishers may include but not limited to:
Will smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is level.
Will set up and use wood or plastic concrete forms and rebar to shape and hold the concrete till it is set.
Will prepare and level the surface using special blades, making sure all lumps and bubbles are smoothed over.
Will use machines that vibrate concrete to fill air pockets, use groovers and hand trowels to spread concrete.
Job duties for Journeyman Carpenters may include but are not limited to:
Journeyman Carpenters will estimate height, width, length and other proportions and select materials needed.
Journeyman Carpenters will work with blueprints and instruction from supervisors.
Journeyman Carpenters will be working with many types of materials such as; wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and steel.
Journeyman Carpenters must have knowledge and experience using a wide range of hand and electric tools such as; hammers, tape measure, saws, nail guns, levels, plumb bobs, framing squares and drill/screw gun.
Journeyman Carpenters must have the ability to work on stilts, ladders and scaffolding safely.
Journeyman Carpenters will also check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.
