Assembles, prepares and packages surgical instruments and equipment for various methods of sterilization and high level disinfection. Maintains quality control and biological monitoring systems for sterilization processes. Answer's telephone and responds to requests for sterile instrument's and supplies. Utilizes computer systems for case cart stock supply and stock return. Gives direction to fellow team members and works as relief lead in Supervisors absence. Orders and maintains implant inventory, resolves implant and instrument issues and works as a liaison to all OR's and nursing units to meet our patients instrument, implant and sterilization needs. Utilizes instrument tracking system to maintain instrument inventory.QualificationsMinimumHS/GED required.

3 years surgical instrument experience required.

CRCST

PreferredCompletion of a surgical instrument technician program preferred.
