Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking Datacenter Technicians to be based in 14250 West Broadway Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338. The ideal candidate for this role balances technical skills, attention-to-detail, customer focus while following and establishing processes. Veritas Services and Engineering Datacenter Technicians represent our company in front of our customers every day.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

· Respond to service requests from our customer datacenters in a timely manner in order to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and/or repair IT systems and their peripherals.

· Maintain assigned assets (i.e. spare parts, tools) to ensure availability to our customers

· Troubleshoot and triage server failures to determine the most efficient path to restoring online functionality of the product back to the customer

· Apply firmware and BIOS updates as needed using VSE and client approved tools

· Comply with all datacenter safety, security, and operational protocols at all times

· Be an outstanding representative of Veritas Services and Engineering at all times by ensuring customer satisfaction through strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, professional behavior, and effective communication.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Fundamental understanding of computer technology, architecture, and components (CPU, power supply, memory, graphics cards, flash memory, etc.)

· Understanding of hardware and software interactions, storage systems, networking; able to apply this understanding to resolve issues

· Ability to identify hardware failures and work within the limits of a defined process to return the system to operational condition

· Ability to regularly lift and move server systems that weigh up to 70lbs

· Attention to administrative detail. Accuracy in tracking inventory, completing trouble tickets, asset tag updates, wiring plans, etc. is essential to the customer and is critical to this role

· Must be able and willing to travel

Education

· Degree in a computer-related field. Associate degree in Electronics and Computer Technology preferred and 2 plus year of equivalent experience (i.e. Computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related discipline)

· CompTIA A+ Certification

· CompTIA Server+ Certification

· MCP/MCSE Certification a plus

Experience

· Hands on computer hardware and/or technical support experience is a required. 2+ years of relative experience preferred
