Job Description

We are currently seeking Datacenter Technicians to be based in (Goodyear, AZ)

The ideal candidate for this role balances technical skills, attention-to-detail, customer focus while following and establishing processes.

Experience·

Hands on computer / Server / hardware and/or technical support experience is a required. 2+ years of relative experience preferred

Responsibilities and Essential Functions· Respond to service requests from our customer datacenters in a timely manner in order to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and/or repair IT systems and their peripherals.· Maintain assigned assets (i.e. spare parts, tools) to ensure availability to our customers· Troubleshoot and triage server failures to determine the most efficient path to restoring online functionality of the product back to the customer· Apply firmware and BIOS updates as needed using VSE and client approved tools· Comply with all datacenter safety, security, and operational protocols at all times· Be an outstanding representative at all times by ensuring customer satisfaction through strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, professional behavior, and effective communication.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities· Fundamental understanding of computer technology, architecture, and components (CPU, power supply, memory, graphics cards, flash memory, etc.)· Understanding of hardware and software interactions, storage systems, networking; able to apply this understanding to resolve issues· Ability to identify hardware failures and work within the limits of a defined process to return the system to operational condition· Ability to regularly lift and move server systems that weigh up to 70lbs· Attention to administrative detail. Accuracy in tracking inventory, completing trouble tickets, asset tag updates, wiring plans, etc. is essential to the customer and is critical to this role· Must be able and willing to travelCompetencies· Analytical problem solving· Demonstrated strong ownership, self-motivation and ability to work autonomously· Ability to work and collaborate successfully with geographically dispersed teams· Proactive, positive, deliberate, and customer focused thinking

Education

· Degree in a computer-related field. Associate degree in Electronics and Computer Technology preferred and 2 plus year of equivalent experience (i.e. Computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related discipline)Good to have:

· CompTIA A+ Certification· CompTIA Server+ Certification· MCP/MCSE Certification a plus
