Data Engineer (SQL, SSIS) Contract Remote
Position Overview As part of the Data team, you are enabling business decisions and driving growth for client by developing effective data pipelines to power operational excellence and business insight.Responsibilities The key focus of this role is to develop and maintain Data Pipelines via SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). This means you will: • Work with business units to understand data needs and requirements. • Create ETL flows to data assets such as the Data Warehouse (facts and dimensions), Data Lakes, and other database artifacts • Participate in maintaining documentation and standards in design, security, and data governance • Investigate and resolve issues related to data accuracy and/or consistency. • Troubleshoot and remediate process failures in SQL Server, PowerBI Report Server, and SSIS Server • Participate in technical meetings related to enterprise architecture and applications to understand, and help plan for, impacts to the Data PlatformCompetencies • Ability to use the SQL Server Stack to move, audit and evaluate data • Confident in your ability to work and communicate with data consumers to help them understand what the data means and its lineage • Very good SQL skills • Understanding modern Data Architectures and Data WarehousingRequired Education and Experience • College or technical degree • At least 5 years' experience as a developer using SSIS on a Data Team • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with data design and development like data modeling and mapping data elements from various data sources • Experience interacting with API data sources via SSIS • Expert at writing SQL code, creating and tuning views, stored procedures, and functions, verifying data integrity and accuracy • Experience working with/supporting Data Analytics teams • You must have strong experience utilizing tools and systems on the MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and T-SQL on a Data team • Deep understanding of database fundamentals, including relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTPStand above the rest: • Any experience with Mulesoft Integrations • Experience and competency in another programming language like Python, JavaScript or C# • Demonstrated ability to not only develop data but analyze it • Experience of integration projects on large-scale environments • Extremely collaborative • Ownership mentalityWhy Kelly ® ?By partnering with Kelly® Technology, you'll have direct connections to top companies around the globe-giving you the chance to put your tech skills to work on some of today's most intriguing, innovative, and high-visibility projects.
