Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space, and Security is seeking experienced Aircraft Assembly Technicians in Mesa, Arizona , the home of the Apache Longbow Helicopter. These positions assemble, modify and install aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, components, systems and airframe structures on aircraft systemsMajor Task and Responsibilities:

Assemble, disassemble, install, test, troubleshoot, rework, repair and modify aircraft mechanical or electrical assemblies, subassemblies, components, systems, metallic and composite structures on aircraft systems by following manufacturing planning, blueprints, schematics, process specifications, engineering sketches, written and oral instructions.

Identify nonconforming parts, conditions and processes.

Install, rig and test major aircraft systems and flight safety parts such as primary and secondary hydraulic assist, pneumatic, fuel, fire suppression, environmental control, flight controls and drive components to include engines, main rotor transmissions and gear boxes using specialized tools and test equipment as well as various hand tools electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Inspect assemblies, component parts, and airframe structures for nonconformance. Report discrepancies to manufacturing self-examination (MSE), corrective action (C/A), or manufacturing supervision.

Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and nonconformance issues. Check units for compliance using hand held precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges and scales.

Report all non-conformances to manufacturing supervision or corrective action representative. Prepare rejection tags noting deviations from specifications on dimensions, finishes, material, processes, or quality when required.

Follow all safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions to safety officials or manufacturing supervision.

Report on job status and restraints to coworkers and supervision.

Identify production inefficiencies and suggest potential improvements to product or process.

The selected candidate must be able to work any shift as determined by business needs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Minimum 1 year of experience in aircraft assembly

Experience interpreting and working from blueprints, sketches and written and verbal instructions, in English

Ability to work any shift as required by business need.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Prefer specific Apache Longbow knowledge in systems such as Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Rigs, Fuel, Environmental Control Systems, Avionics, Wire Harness Installation and routing, Fairings, Brakes, and APU

A&P license preferable
