For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.The Boeing Space & Launch Division's Satellite Operations & Ground Systems (SOGS) organization is seeking Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineers in Mesa, AZ and Leesburg VA to be innovators in the development of our nation’s next generation of satellite and space flight ground systems.We seek skilled and motivated software engineers who want to take their skills to the next level through hands-on development on a diverse multi-disciplined team of engineers, operating in an agile environment, using the latest tools and methodologies for multiple long-term satellite ground system projects.As a team member, you will work as an integral part of our Continuous Integration Platform team delivering exciting new features for our Satellite Operations and Ground System products. The ideal candidate should have extensive DevSecOps knowledge and experience in developing in managed modern cloud based environments using agile development processes.The AGA Team offers up a collaborative casual, but professional mentoring environment with long-term potential for career growth into technical and management positions.Position Responsibilities:The specific focus for the DevSecOps Engineer is on development, automation and optimization of the development and platform management lifecycle, including:Develop and sustain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for automated deployment of the highly available, mission critical cloud or enterprise platform product software for integration and test and operations
Create scripts and templates to build development systems
This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). (Post Start)Basic (Required) Qualifications5+ years’ experience with cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure etc.
5+ years’ experience working with shell scripting in a Linux/Unix hosting environment.
5+ years’ software development experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevSecOps processes/tools.
Minimum of 5 years experience in Java programming or JavaScript programming
Experience with CMake, Jenkins, ClearCase, Coverity, InstallShield, ClearQuest, ReviewBoard, IncrediBuild, Git or similar tools
Preferred (Desired) QualificationsAlthough the following skills are not required, it is highly desirable for the candidate to have some level of experience in the following skills:Amazon Web Services certification highly desired, DevSecOps Engineer or Solutions Architect preferred.
Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, JIRA Agile, and Confluence
Experience using SonarQube and/or Coverity to instrument, trend and manage code quality
Experience developing containerized microservices deployed into a cloud based orchestration framework such as AWS, Docker Swarm, or OpenShift.
Experience in automation and testing via scripting/programming
Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies
Application performance analysis and monitoring
Experience in software development using Java 8
Experience using NPM for Javascript build and dependency management
Experience using Maven for build and dependency management for Java applications
Experience using MongoDB and PostgreSQL database engines for data persistence
Experience with Infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position does not offer relocation.
