Position Overview: Our Client is seeking a Lead Systems Architect (Hybrid Cloud Architect) responsible to drive architecture and designs for modern technology infrastructure services that seamlessly integrate with service offerings from our chosen Cloud Service Providers. This role will work closely with a team of architects as well as senior/principal engineers and perform range of activities required to design, implement, and continuously automate a large, complex hybrid cloud environment - both on-prem as well as public cloud. The ideal candidate is passionate about new technologies and architecture and keeps current with trends in the hybrid cloud platform and infrastructure space while searching for ways to modernize the digital infrastructure in line with regulatory/compliance requirements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Lead the implementation of complex projects and initiatives that have companywide scope • Participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy • Conduct complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions • Communicate the companywide Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams • Make decisions in the development and maintenance of architectures • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas • Ensure applications adhere to established company standards, policies, methodologies and industry best practices • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals • Acts as a subject matter expert to the organization for cloud, automation and end-to-end architecture for IaaS and PaaS solutions • Develop and maintain architecture solutions such as reference architecture, white paper, architecture specification, product strategy, product to services roadmap. • Demonstrate deep understanding of several infrastructure and platform automation technology products such as VMware vRealize Suite, Terraform, Ansible, Control planes (Azure Arc or Google Anthos)

Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education • 3+ years demonstrable experience in Cloud computing including Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) • 2+ year of demonstrable experience in Container as a Service (CaaS) • 2+ years of Agile Experience • 3+ years of strong technical / architectural documentation skills

Desired Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience with VMware products including ESXi, NSX-T, vRA, vROPS, vCenter • 2+ years of experience in developing highly scalable Hyper Converged, Converged and SDDC infrastructure platforms • An industry- standard technology certification such as VMWare Certified Professional, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud • Strong exposure, experience to enterprise cloud consumption models (e.g. pay-as-you-use, pay-as-you-grow), architecture trends related to cloud adoption. • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to interact with all levels with an organization • Strong compute, networking and storage skills
