Position: Lead Project Manager

Location:
Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN or Des Moines, IA

Term:
6 months with strong chance for extension

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Lead PM with the high collaboration skills and high understanding of Agile - will lead conversations with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
  • Facilitate the scrum process with cross functional impact that involve moderately complex projects, non projects, or maintenance work.
  • Guide the scrum teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.
  • Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.
  • Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams.
  • Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal customers.
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Engage with senior leaders
  • Manage multiple highly complex projects.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to convey relevant information at summary and detailed levels is a key factor to success in this role.
  • Plan, execute, and finalizeprojects according to timelines, milestone events and within budget.
  • Help define project objectives, scope and requirements, and ensure high levels of development and project execution throughout its lifecycle.
  • Requires experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Creates and delivers presentations on program or project goals and plans, including progress reports

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Must have a minimum of 8+ years of Project Management / Scrum experience. Must have at least 2 years of recent Scrum experience.
  • Need candidates capable of playing Scrum Master and Project Manager roles.
  • Agile experience is a mandatory
  • Prior experience in banking industry isa plus
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Project and Program Management experience in the Financial industry
  • Business acumen, consulting skills, and proven proficiency in relationship building
  • Requires exceptional communication skills and an ability to build and maintain working relationships with team members, and other departments involved.
  • Project reporting, governance and transparency is very essential, and must be demonstrated through previous projects and success.
  • Requires experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
