Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:Pets Best is seeking a Senior Oracle Developer with experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development. The incumbent will primarily develop and maintain the Pets Best electronic payment transactions interface and provide technical expertise and coordinate day to day deliverables for the team.Pets Best provides peace of mind and financial relief for owners of pets who need veterinary care. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility.Essential Responsibilities:Develops and maintains electronic payment transaction processing interface.

Designs, develops, and maintains interfaces to printing & fulfillment partners.

Designs and implements business & data layer (using PL/SQL) for a portal that integrates with existing insurance underwriting and claims tracking applications.

Assists in the design and completion of programming with respect to technology needs and a variety of systems integration.

Consults with VP, Technology – Pets Best, other programming staff, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls.

Interprets, applies and integrates claims activity and history, insurance rating factors, risk analysis and underwriting rules in completing development projects.

Converts designs and specifications into computer code. Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications. Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs, and specifications.

Uses Workbench as a version controls system and has the ability to identify latest versions and understand the TIA project directories and how they relate to our Customer Tower.

Participates in code review to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications.

Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant database programming experience or in lieu of a Bachelor Degree, a minimum of 6 years relevant database programming experience.

Minimum 3 years of Oracle Forms and PL/SQL development (stored procedures, triggers, functions, etc.)

Desired Characteristics:Oracle V12+ experience is preferred

Oracle Forms and PL/SQL Development experience including Oracle Forms.

Demonstrated understanding and proficiency of fundamental design patterns.

Understanding of Oracle database administration (backup & restore, security, etc

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical abilities.

Ability to learn and support new technology quickly.

Ability to thrive in a changing work environment, produces innovative solutions, and responds quickly to external and natural events.

Be interested in IT and solving problems.

Be able to collate complex data and use this to solve problems.

Be able to work in a team.

Possess a friendly, cooperative attitude and positive interaction style in dealing with people.

Eligibility Requirements:You must be 18 years or older

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 65,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD AnnualSalaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.Grade/Level: 10Job Family Group:Information Technology
