- Develop and Lead a team of Data Engineers in collaboration with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to test and scale cutting edge data driven solutions
- Ensure team delivers on time by defining clear application of architectural strategies and principles, maintaining a kanban for execution, and actively secure its implementation through the scrum process.
- Establish software architecture and software design patterns to write scalable, maintainable, well-designed SQL and Python code
- Drive tools and processes that enable continuous delivery through DataOps (Trunk Based Development, CI/CD, Schema Change Control, Version Control) aligning with Enterprise solution and security strategies
- Work in cross-functional, geographically distributed agile teams of highly skilled data engineers, machine learning engineers, data scientists, DevOps engineers, designers, product managers, technical delivery teams, and others to continuously innovate data driven solutions
- Act as a positive coach/mentor for broader organization to develop stronger understanding of software architecture and software design patterns that create scalable, maintainable, well-designed data driven solutions
- Acts as a facilitator of complex technical topics that require cross-functional consultation
- Perform other duties as required
- Expert practitioner of SQL development and relational databases, Proficient practitioner of Python
- Experience applying software development best practices into machine learning projects, including DevOps CI/CD, Release Management, and Test Driven Development using SQL and Python
- Experience with Agile and DataOps/DevOps/MLOps software development principles/methodologies, that keep team focus on deliver business value
- Ability to manage onshore and offshore resources
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and/or mentoring professionals
- Familiar with at least one of major cloud solutions, preferably Azure
