Your Opportunity
Provide Data Center (DC) Technology Disaster Recovery (TDR) technical support to Schwab Technology Services' Application community and Infrastructure Services teams. This includes support for Schwab deployed Applications and Systems for on-prem and Public Cloud. - 5+ years of demonstrated experience dedicated to IT infrastructure systems
- 3+ years of disaster recovery operations and management
- 2+ years of experience in Public Cloud deployment
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Experience working in financial services industry required, experience working at Charles Schwab/TD Ameritrade strongly preferred
- An advantage to have 3+ years of delivering results using Technical Project Management in an Agile Framework (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)
- Must be comfortable to act as liaison for TDR and examination of disaster recovery plans
- Experience managing medium - large projects simultaneously using well developed sound project management skills
- Experience working in cross-functional IT teams
- Must have in-depth understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures and mainframe architectures as is knowledge of crisis communication solutions
- DCO / ITO operations background is recommended
- Efficient time management and organization skills
- Experience establishing, managing and communication with Application SMEs and leads to cultivate strong partnerships
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk and business impact analysis
- Understanding of elementary IT server & network (IP, LB, Firewall) principles is critical
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to convey plans, exercises, and activities.
- Ability to plan, organize, attention to detail and lead the testing of emergency response, recovery support, deadline delivery and business resumption procedures
- Remedy, Troux, xMatters, MIR3 working experience is beneficial
- MS Office Suite, MS Project, Visio
- SharePoint Experience a plus
- Fusion ITDR SaaS is a plus
