Job Description

As the Laboratory Manager, you will involved with the day to day operations of the clinical research lab.

  • Works together with the Operations Manager to oversee construction of the microbiology lab and ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Identification of equipment, installation and validation.
  • Write SOPs and WIs required for all microbiological procedures and processes.
  • Works with the writing team to develop protocols for microbiological and clinical testing.
  • Builds and trains a team of laboratory technicians.
  • Assists in hosting Sponsor and regulatory monitoring visits.
  • Oversees the review of study documents, CRF/source documents, and EDC for ongoing studies.
  • Ensures proper safety procedures are in place.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Microbiology
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in a regulatory environment
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Works well in a team environment and is able to maintain professional behavior.
  • Effective communication, written and verbal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Well organized with a sense of responsibility for project and time management.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities through effective resource management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and flexibility.
  • Mathematical Skills: Intermediate preferred.
  • Reasoning Skills / Abilities: Intermediate preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate preferred.
