As a Next Generation Avionics Audio Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of our next generation of aerospace audio systems for a wide range of aerospace applications, from General Aviation and Urban Air Mobility aircraft to high end Business Jets and Regional Jets.You will be responsible for managing our audio lab and working with our engineers, flight operations, and customers to ensure the successful execution of our audio projects, delivering high-quality audio solutions. Your expertise in audio technology and strong leadership skills will contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our customers. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Deer Valley, AZ location. In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge audio systems that enhance the flight crew’s experience and meet the highest standards of quality and performance.At Honeywell, our people leaders play a critical role in developing and supporting our employees to help them perform at their best, drive change across the company, and build strong diverse teams by recruiting talent, identifying and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work with a team of audio engineers in the design, development, and testing of the Next Generation of aerospace audio systems Building and testing aerospace audio avionics Working with certification focals to perform formal testing of aerospace audio systems Supporting development lab set up and flight test aircraft Develop and implement test plans and procedures to ensure the quality and performance of audio systems Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in audio technology and industry trendsYOU MUST HAVE Prior experience as an electronic technician Proficiency in fine pitch soldering Proficiency with typical electronic lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and signal analyzers.WE VALUE Prior experience with Audio system design, development, and verification Prior experience with RF design, development, and verification Prior experience with Avionics design, development, and verification Prior experience as an aircraft pilot Prior experience as an aircraft mechanic Prior experience with LabVIEW Prior experience with Mentor Graphics Strong knowledge of audio signal processing, acoustics, and audio hardware Proficiency in audio measurement and testing techniques Experience with audio software tools and programming languages Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated individual with a track record of accomplishmentU.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorizationHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
