Description: The client is hiring an IT Project Manager to help facilitate a transformative implementation of a new line of business applications and a new customer portal over a 2 year time frame.Project management responsibilities will then transition to ongoing support and enhancements.This position will manage and guide the development and implementation of a Salesforce platform for the client.This position has flexibility to telework all but one day a week and allows a healthy work-life balance.The Project Manager will work closely with business units to represent the business needs and priorities. Additionally, this position will work with internal teams and vendors to implement Salesforce and provide regular updates to the executive team and stakeholders on the progress of the project.Job Duties:Responsibilities include:Identifying and scheduling project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks and and prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog.Participating in sprint planning to determine the team's objectivesEstablishing standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. Understanding business and end-user needs.Acting as the voice of the customer to guide all stages of software development, including user story development, sprint planning, and prioritization of the product backlog.Establishing a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases, and arranging for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.Reviewing/approving the work plan of an external service provider or consultancy contracted to execute the project.Providing leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and conferring with project staff to outline a work plan.Monitoring project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the organization.Working with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories and setting expectations with business stakeholders for the delivery of new capabilities.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):Knowledge of project management methodology and experience with both PMI and Agile methodologiesUnderstanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are using them to drive digital business3-5 years Salesforce experienceknowledge of the organization’s methodologies and toolsProject+, PMP, or Agile certificationSignificant knowledge of project planning/scheduling tools (for example, Microsoft Project and Open Workbench), with a solid track record of practical application.Skills:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.Effective influencing and negotiating skills.Establishes good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and relates well to people at all levels.A distinctive blend of business, IT, financial, and communication skills.This blend is vital because this is a highly visible position with substantial impact.Ability to:Effectively communicate to multiple staff levelsDevelop project plan and forecast future demand and understand and documentation of business needs.Understand complex business problems and identify/interpret business needs. Identifies opportunities and implements solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.Focus on solving conflict; leads initiatives to develop solutions and processes to meet needs; identifies unique innovative approaches.Selective Preference(s):Experience with managing business transformational projectsExperience in leading diverse teamsPre-Employment Requirements:Project+, PMP, or Agile certificationNote :The position will be remote, they will need to be onsite for the first couple of days to get equipment.
