Job DescriptionManages a team of Pharmacy Underwriters responsible for Northeast and Florida Territories. The team is responsible for Middle Market, Public and Labor, and National Account customers, and handles both Renewal and New Business customers. Will be responsible for hitting financial metrics, including margin and membership targets.Required QualificationsLeads team to achieve department specific goals through articulation and application of businessstrategy, initiatives, and underwriting policy.Manages workflow within unit and directs changing priorities. Ensures that timely actions anddeliverables are met for renewal cohorts, and team members have the information to do their jobs.Escalates underwriting exceptions and financial variances to senior management balancing membership, revenue growth and profitability targets.Articulates company services, product standards, underwriting policies and new initiatives to sales,customers, brokers & consultants.Leads process improvement initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy, and/or customer serviceand influences tool development. Takes accountability for driving solutions to completion.Responsible for manager activities related to staffing, talent management, training and development.Takes accountability for the team to ensures customer specific documents, deliverables and account related information produced by the team are accurate and support the customers renewal strategy.Oversees training of underwriting staff and internal customers and external constituents. Please note that in some states and roles, you may be required to provide proof of full vaccination or an approved reasonable accommodation before you can begin to actively work.Preferred Qualifications7-10 years financial underwriting experience with extensive insurance industry knowledge.Solid knowledge of other benefit program(s) (Medical, Dental, Vision, Pharmacy, Stop Loss, Medicare,Voluntary etc.) and pricing of related benefits a plus.Demonstrated leadership that fosters and supports a strong team of individual contributors.Experience in anticipating customer needs and requirements as well as facilitating and negotiatingusing tact and diplomacy.Experience in building strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external constituents.Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with internal and external constituents.Knowledge of ABX business system principles and management tools.EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
