DescriptionThe Senior Product Manager role is a part of the Pharmacy Product organization and will support Humana covered lives across Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial medical and pharmacy insurance products. This role conceives of, develops, delivers, and manages products for customer use. The Senior Product Manager will lead cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements and effectively implement change, while mitigating operational risk. The right candidate will make data-driven decisions, be an effective communicator, have an eye for details and display an entrepreneurial work-ethic. Must be comfortable working with broad latitude to prioritize and manage one's own project while still meeting deadlines.ResponsibilitiesLocation: Work at home anywhereThe Senior Product Innovation Design & Development Professional discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Develops design briefs for new product ideas, including specifications, sketches and/or models to present a clear, focused concept for strategic consideration.Key ResponsibilitiesOwns the end to end strategy, design and execution of innovation solutions rooted in solving complex problems resulting in iterative test & learns
Defines stage-gate criteria and makes decisions throughout product development process
Requires independent judgement and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives, approaches and leads cross-functional teams that include a wide spectrum of subject matter experts that can include nurses, pharmacists and regional medical directors, lawyers, actuaries, business analysts, information technologists and more
Develop and maintain reporting measurements that define product success
Influences product strategy and roadmap rooted in data, consumer insights and analysis of market findings
Makes executive level recommendations in regards to investments, development lifecycle and personas prioritization
Accountable for analysis, development and evaluation of new product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions and translates research discoveries into concepts to test
Leads across the enterprise (i.e. operations, external partners, markets) to drive the development of a new multi-disciplinary care team product, transforming how Humana delivers clinical services to our members and providers
Accountable for managing investment and partner relationships in development phase
Organize results, develop actionable insights and communicate with stakeholders and executive level leadership
20% travel once travel restrictions are lifted
Role EssentialsBachelor's degree
5 or more years of product management experience and/or clinical implementation
Experience working with cross functional teams
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
Must be passionate and take pride in your work
Role DesirablesMaster's degree
Healthcare Industry experience
Pharmacy Benefit Management experience
Pharmacy and/or Specialty Pharmacy experience
Experience working with data, including claims data
Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Commercial insurance benefits
