The Resource Management Organization is responsible for assigning the right people to the right projects at the right time, across all Palo Alto Networks territories. The Senior Resource Manager supports delivery in managing employees currently in the workplace and determining hiring needs based on the cumulative project-based needs of the business. The Senior Resource Manager coordinates capabilities and workload across the entire Palo Alto Networks professional Services business, through the use of Professional Services Automation systems, data analysis, and forecasts the supply and demand of skilled resources on a dynamic, daily basis.Your Career● Facilitate the fulfillment of staffing requests and prioritizing resource requests, working with Project Managers and other team members to ensure the right staff assignments are made in right timeframes● Identify underutilized resources and raise attention to Project Managers and PS Managers for work assignment● Lead/Attend Resource Staffing & Interlock status meetings prepare and distribute materials, and capture all follow-up actions and notes● Onboarding and Management of Subcontractor vendors for PS staff augmentation● Assist in the creation of regular and ad hoc reports● Analyze data and develop specialized reports on resource needs, conflicts and over/under allocations to drive better business practices and increased utilization● Review and recommend modifications to internal processes as needed for project control, operations review, and Professional Services support● Helps to maintain the Skills Matrix in the Professional Services Automation system; adding or removing skills as the business evolves● Provides forecast reports derived from project skill demand to determine staffing and training needs for Professional Services● Assesses skill gaps created by the addition of new products and technologies, or new types of projects● Develop, modify and document Resource Management processes using collaboration tools● Conduct research to identify alternate staffing solutions and/or, alternate processes for improvement● Uses supply (skilled resources) and demand (Professional Services projects) reports to advise PS management on staffing decisions based on trends● Leads/Participates in regular meetings with PS Managers globally to provide supply/demand information and discuss current and anticipated skilled resource needsRequirements● BS or Business bachelor’s degree● 5+ years experience in Resource Management (preferably in a Professional Services environment)● 2+ years of hands-on experience with Demand/Capacity Planning● Deep understanding of Project Management methodology● RMCP certification preferred or willing to obtain RMCP certification within 6 months of hire● Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to influence others.● Excellent oral and written communication skills● Proven collaboration skills● Experience using a Professional Services Automation or PPM tool to manage projects and resources● Ability to make assessment and judgment calls quickly and accurately.● Advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas● Ability to create Salesforce reports in order to understand the demand pipeline● Ability to work independently and move high-profile initiatives● Palo Alto Networks is a global company, so must be willing to work outside normal local work hours on occasion● Experienced with deploying PSA/PPM automation tool● Experienced with building/deploying centralized resource management program● Experienced with leading change across an organization● Fluent in Spanish and EnglishOur CommitmentWe’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary. Restricted stock units and bonus pay may also be offered as part of this compensation package, as well as benefits that include: flexible paid time off, employee stock purchase program, medical, dental, vision, 401K, life, and disability insurance.
