Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to mechanical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve techniques, procedures, and products and technologies. You will support products to meet customer needs, product quality, manufacturability, new product development, prototype builds, testing, and may serve a project manager role for smaller development projects. You will develop the product designs necessary to drive product improvement and will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding Voice of Customer requirements.Key Responsibilities (Primary) Product Factory support engineeringProduct Mechanical Design engineering focalProduct Field support engineeringProblem solving / RCCA related to Factory and Fielded product issues Piece part mechanical design, manufacture and inspection focal for complex partsLead engineering documentation and configuration of products and product changesKey Responsibilities (Secondary)CAD based modeling and drawing creation using PTC/CreoPerform Engineering analyses (Tolerance stack-up, etc)New product development (future)Lead Stress and Thermal Analyses activities with analysis groupsProduct Test and CertificationProgram/Project Planning and Cost estimationCommunicate Product Mechanical Design activities and results to leadershipValue EngineeringDesirable Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations, such as FAA, RTCA and ARINC guidelines, relevant to aerospace engineeringExperience designing and supporting multi-axes positioners with motors, angular sensors, gearing, bearings and complex part design.Experience with precision parts design, documentation, manufacturing processes and inspection procedures.Exceptional understanding of tolerancing, GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysisExperience designing circuit level and component level (waveguides, rotary joints) RF products and understanding basic RF principles relevant to part designDeveloping products exposed to uncontrolled environments on aircraftU.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics10 years of relevant mechanical design experienceWE VALUEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering.Critical thinking and problem solving skillsEagerness to get involved in hands-on workAbility to work independentlyEngineering disciplineDetail- oriented, with a strong work ethicExceptional understanding of mechanical engineering principles and skillsWillingness to learn new technologiesAbility to collaborate with interdisciplinary teamsCreativitySome experience developing products or sustaining existing productsSome experience in a highly regulated and safety critical domainGood knowledge of mechanical industry and parts manufacturingBENEFITS We offer a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible vacation and education assistance.
