Applications Analyst, Merchandising Applications

The Senior Application Analyst will focus on supporting various big and small projects utilizing various Merchandising Applications. In this position, you will identify, define, analyze, and refine the requirements. The role will work directly with our various internal and external stakeholders - business partners, IT teams and external vendors - to ensure successful translation of those requirements into solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to propose solutions to complex business requirements.
  • Creates of business and functional design specifications. Identifies gaps between solution design and application capabilities and determines alternatives.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of various business processes within Merchandising, Retail, Digital and e-Commerce business areas.
  • Gather and implement business driven requirements based on the given standards.
  • Work closely with the Project Lead, Architect, and the Development team to ensure solution meets business needs.
  • Ensures detailed technical requirements are captured from appropriate IT teams. Influences technical solution. Identifies gaps between technical design system/application capabilities and negotiates resolution.
  • Partner with Test Team to facilitate the creation and execution of test plans, test cases and automation scripts; establish and manage acceptance criteria, participates in the identification of defects and works to resolution with Developers and business teams.
  • Partner with Test Lead to oversee testing for the implemented functionalities and support all test phases.
  • Participates in regular dialogue with business partners to help understand and shape ongoing operational requirements, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP ERP systems with analyzing, designing, configuring, and implementing complex business processes and integrating with other systems.
  • Experience with SAP SD and MM Modules. Experience with SAP IS-Retail is preferred.
  • Significant exposure to the Retail industry. Preferably experience with both 'brick and mortar' and e-commerce.
  • Broad experience working with Article, Site, Customer, Vendor, and other Retail master data.
  • Experience working with Merchandising and Retail applications like BlueYonder Products.
  • Experience with SDLC utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Very analytical with solid troubleshooting skills, strong partnering/relationship building skills.
  • Should be customer-oriented, mission focused, and a quick learner.
  • Work well within a team setup and helps build a positive team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with and through others to resolve issues.
  • Should be effective at analyzing and documenting both technical and functional requirements.
  • Good experience with facilitating meetings and organizing solution design sessions.
  • Should be highly quality conscious and result oriented.

NICE TO HAVE:
  • Experience with S/4 HANA Retail.
  • Experience with Manhattan OMS and Salesforce Demandware Applications.
  • Knowledge of ABAP Programming.
  • Experience with test automation.
