Title: Senior Project Manager

Duration: 06 Months (Possibility of extension)

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85003 (Currently remote later on site, when the office reopens)

Project description • Manage medium to large projects that are primarily infrastructure related, software deployment would be secondary. This person would be working closely with out Information Security team so some previous exposure to infrastructure and information security would be a plus. Additionally, a candidate with program management experience is preferred as we are running multiple projects in support of a defined program.

Essential Job Tasks:• Lead and manage the successful implementation of a technology solutions.• Review and develop project artifacts. For example: project proposals, project charters, work breakdown structures, and detailed project plans and project schedules.• Determine resource allocations for the defined project tasks and monitor tasks to completion. Manage and maintain project scope. Develop and manage detailed Risk Management and Issue Management Plans and actively mitigate risks and resolve issues to ensure project success.• Coordinate work of internal and external project team members. Provide leadership and guidance to project personnel. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including vendors. Serve on various committees, teams and work groups.• Manage vendors that are key to the success of the project. Validate that all vendors fulfil the terms of contract and deliverables. Maintain historical project records including financial documents (e.g., timecards and invoices).• Develop and maintain regular reports to executive leadership, project team members, and stakeholders.• Identifies project risks and issues, including conflicting issues across projects. Develops action plans, mitigation plans and issue resolutions, as appropriate. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Conducts post-project reviews to identify areas of continual improvement. Complies with change control and quality management policies and procedures.• Ensure compliance with change control and quality management policies. Notify management of policy changes or exceptions in a timely manner.

Skills Required:• Ability to comprehend complex, technical subjects and translate to Client audiences. • Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques used in managing information technology systems design projects. • Experience and knowledge of agile methodology. • Ability to lead and manage technical teams in the delivery of projects and services toward a common vision. • Skill in systematically gathering relevant information from different sources to address issues and make prompt and insightful decisions. • Skill in organization and time management, with the ability to set and manage priorities autonomously. • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Skill in making effective oral presentations to different levels of audiences. • Skill in effective interpersonal relationships including teamwork, issue resolution, negotiation, and customer relationship management.• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.• Excellent knowledge of various office productivity software programs such as word processing,databases, spreadsheet programs, and communications software

Experience required:• seven (7) years of project management experience.• Experience working in a Project Management Office environment.• Experience working within the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework• Knowledge of County Government programs, the associated data and business functions, and an understanding of the County's budgeting and fiscal control procedure.

Education Required:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.

Education Preferred• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.• Excellent knowledge of various office productivity software programs such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet programs, and communications software
