Primary Responsibilities:
  • ML/AI development
  • Chatbot and Agent development
  • Developing custom applications and APIs on the Java/Spring platform
  • Working with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines using Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins
  • Design and implement ElasticSearch solution
  • Provide technical direction in building out core functionality
  • Debug production issues across services and all levels of the stack
  • Ability to build solutions from the ground up
  • Support and troubleshoot custom development product issues with customers

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or other related filed; or the equivalent amount of hands on software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing web applications in Java, w/ JavaScript, HTML, etc
  • 2+ years of ML/AI development (RASA, Python, R, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced experience working with relational databases (MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Built applications using a Spring framework
  • Has pushed code through the deployment lifecycle
  • Has used version control, currently Github
  • Can hear a problem and design/build a working solution from scratch
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment that has to scale to support the date-driven needs of the client
  • Can work on multiple in-flight projects effectively
  • Enjoy spending extra time finding the right solution to a problem
  • Solid communication skills and can both defend your ideas and suggest improvements
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points in a collaborative atmosphere

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
